Since its very beginning, the history of the United States of America is a story of peoples that came in different times from various parts of the world, drawn by the promise of freedom and work opportunities. Still today the United States of America is a country of many resources and great opportunities at many levels, yet presenting the challenges characteristic to all Western and prosperous countries.
As Fr. Kolbe Missionaries of the Immaculata, we are present in this country since 1983 with a community located in West Covina, California.
We live at the crossroad of many races, languages and religions. Our daily life and ministry offer us a chance to share with diverse people the gift of our Marian and missionary charism.

The year 2008 marked our 25th anniversary of presence and evangelization in this country. We have tried to reach out to youth and families, both English and Spanish speaking, building together a large family of leaders and collaborators that share in our work of evangelization.
Many opportunities for spiritual formation and growth in a journey of faith have been offered in close collaboration with the Militia of the Immaculata (MI), the international Movement founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe and widely spread, also, throughout the United States.
The serious problem of illegal immigration, especially from Mexico, as a consequence of a complex situation of poverty, challenged us to offer an answer.
Since the year 2000, our community extends its outreach to Baja California with the presence and missionary work of one of our members. With the help of local collaborators, Maria del Rosario dedicates herself to reaching the indigenous population with a methodical work of evangelization and human promotion, especially caring for women and advocating the rights of families.
