The intention to be “in the world,” for the salvation of the world; the desire to place ourselves at the service of mankind in every environment and social class; attentiveness to the signs of the time and to the missionary journey of the Church have led our Institute to a boundless missionary outreach.

Our beginnings were in Italy and from there we have spread to Argentina, the United States, Bolivia, Luxembourg, Poland and Brazil.... One step at a time we have accepted the invitation and challenge to emigrate into other peoples’ countries and cultures in order to be a sign and leaven of the Gospel. In every nation, we seek to offer a concrete response to the spiritual, moral, and also material poverty of many people.

The apostolic horizons of our Institute do not exclude any field of action. In our discernment and choice of apostolic activities we strive to pay special attention to the needs of the times, places and cultures in which we are working. There are some activities and forms of apostolate in which we have been specializing throughout the years as a response to recurring requests and needs.
