O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you, and for those who do not have recourse to you, especially the enemies of the Church and those recommended to you.
O Mary, this medal is a sign and a guarantee of your presence. You are present because your power is present, your voice is present and your love is present.
Therefore, O Immaculate Conception and Mother of the Church, we call on you now to fulfill your guarantee. Rain down upon us the great graces you promised to those who carry this medal, especially to those who wear it around the neck. Make us perceive your presence now and always. Make us consciously experience your power, love and guidance, that in your mediation we may begin to share in your perfect response to God and to each of his creatures, and join in your war against the ancient serpent.
Help us to abandon our self-centered feelings and preoccupations. Help us to accept our sufferings, offering them back to the Father through you. Teach us to listen and learn, that by becoming one with you in purpose, we might more fully respond to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, participating in the life and unity of the Trinity through your intercession. Amen.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of our Lord Jesus and our Mother, we are filled with the liveliest confidence in your all-powerful and never-failing intercession, shown so often through the miraculous medal. As your loving and trustful children, we ask you to obtain for us the graces and favors we request during this novena, if these will be to our spiritual benefit.
Here mention your personal intentions.
You know, O Mary, that we want our souls always to be the temples of the Holy Spirit, who hates sin. Obtain for us, then, a deep hatred of sin and that purity of heart which will attach us to God alone, so that our every thought, word and deed may be directed to his greater glory. Obtain for us a spirit of prayer and self-denial, that we may recover by penance what we have lost by sin and eventually enter that heavenly dwelling where you are the Queen of angels and of humanity. Amen.
